Verna Hedgecoth and Angie Ramey are the mother-daughter team known as Bead Addicts. Verna was the first to discover the joys of beadwork and jewelry making, and after a few lessons, Angie was hooked as well. After purchasing several sets of lampwork beads from some well-known artists in the glass community, Angie was bit by the fire bug. In 2003, she signed the two of them up for their first torchwork class. They both knew immediately that they had found the artistic niche that they’d been searching for. Four years later, the obsession is still going strong.

Working together, yet bringing two totally different artistic visions into play, allows them to offer a wide variety of styles to their lampwork clients. While Verna is the artistic, free-spirited half of the team, Angie brings a more technical, precision based outlook to her work. Having come from a background in beadwork and jewelry design, Angie and Verna have a common goal…..providing their designers with beautiful, quality pieces at an affordable price. They believe that while lampwork beads are truly miniature works of art, they’re art that is meant to be worn and enjoyed.
